Lead Testing

Pennsylvania boasts a charming collection of historic homes, and it’s important to know that homes built before 1978 may contain lead. Our inspectors are seasoned professionals who can spot lead paint, and all of them are certified by the EPA to conduct lead-safe tests. Many of our clients have young children and are eager to ensure their new home meets lead-safe standards. For more information on lead paint safety, you can visit: https://www.epa.gov/lead

Lead Safe Testing: We collect two samples from each bedroom and two from a common area, along with one control sample. This testing is mandatory in many areas, including Philadelphia, if your property will be rented. Please consult with your realtor to determine if this is appropriate for your situation.

Lead Paint Chip Sampling: If you suspect the presence of lead paint, we also perform lead paint chip testing.

Lead Water Testing: We offer VA/FHA water testing, which will provide you with the lead levels in your water supply. Some homes still have lead pipes, which can lead to lead contamination in drinking water.
